Apologies for the slight spam. Fic is coming -- soon, I swear.

1. I will continue to cut and warn for any Deathly Hallows spoilers in my fics through the end of September. I have read the book, however, as have most people, so please tread carefully while reading any comments on this journal.

2. To celebrate this journal's impending 50-friends mark (which for me is quite a feat), I've decided to open up two types of requests: one public and the other flocked, as a thank you to those who have watched this journal.

3. As a result of recent LJ policy clarifications regarding underage sex in fanfiction and fanart, this journal is now operating under this nifty age disclaimer. I do not plan on locking or removing any of my fic from LJ, no matter the rating, until it becomes absolutely necessary. Between now and then, I'm working on setting up a personal website so that these fics are hosted somewhere a bit safer. ;)

But don't worry -- none of this affects watchers of this journal, except that a link to this age disclaimer will now appear in the header of all fics with detailed sexual content. Nothing is flocked because I don't like the idea of making people jump through hoops to read things. That tends to feel like I'm doing the readers a favor by 'letting' them read my fic, when in reality? I feel lucky to have readers.

This journal does, however, operate under the I-am-not-your-mother policy, meaning that I provide sufficient warnings and it is your responsibility to decide if it's appropriate for you to click, as always. ;D

The idea for elemental fic requests was stolen, quite shamelessly, from the awesometastic fireworkfiasco (of fireworkfics). It works like this:

You comment with five elements of your choice and a fandom, and I write a fic incorporating all five elements in some way. These are awesome because they are a real challenge, and I love challenges. I encourage everyone to give participating a shot. :)

A perfect example of this challenge in action is Home Front by fireworkfiasco (Molly/Arthur; PG). This (gorgeous) fic was written with the following five elements in mind:

- fuzzy slippers
- firewhisky
- a broom
- lettuce
- a lie

The elements can be anything you choose. Feel free to comment as many times as you like, with as many sets of five as you can come up with! Currently, I'm only opening requests for the Harry Potter, The Office (US), Doctor Who, and Pushing Daisies fandoms. ;)

She would say it's because I'm American and I need a happy ending, but in all reality, I wrote this because M is a brilliant writer who created brilliant (and angsty!) little world. I couldn't resist. This is for M, because she is awesome. Please be sure to read and review hers first; this will make more sense.
